This site was built and run for years by Kevin Grise, an established hypnotist. When Kevin retired, he asked Gerard V to take the site on rather than let it lapse. That's how thehypnotist.com.au came to be Gerard's.
About Gerard V
Gerard V is a comedy stage hypnotist based in Australia, with over 20 years of professional performance experience and 700+ shows across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Papua New Guinea.
His shows are fast-paced, interactive, and entirely clean — designed for corporate events, conferences, gala dinners, sporting clubs, and licensed venues. The format works on an involvement gradient: volunteers come on stage by choice, while the rest of the room actively participates without being put on the spot. The result is a shared experience that works equally well for a CFO and a junior sales rep, for a country footy club and a multinational conference.
Clients include Toyota, Telstra, Deloitte, Collingwood FC, and hundreds of corporate and community organisations across Australia and beyond.
Before entertainment, Gerard spent 30 years in IT and business consulting — which is part of why he understands corporate audiences and why his shows work with them rather than against them.
Gerard V does not provide clinical hypnotherapy or allied health services. He is available for bookings nationally and internationally.
